Making stronger Jewish families your legacy

After taking care of your loved ones, a Gift in your Will to JCounselling can help ensure that strong Jewish families will continue to be at the heart of our community into the future.

No gift is too small to make a lasting difference. Just 1% of your estate can make a real and lasting difference.

If you would like to make strong Jewish families your legacy, you first need to decide what type of gift you’d like to leave and whether you’d like it to be used in any particular way.

You could choose to leave either a Residuary or Pecuniary gift:

Family Counselling

A Residuary Gift

Once family and friends have been provided for, you can decide to leave the remainder of your estate, or a percentage of it, to JCounselling. This is the type of gift many supporters choose to make, because it has the added benefit of keeping its value over time – it isn’t affected by inflation.

A Pecuniary Gift

On the other hand, you can specify a particular amount of money or a valuable saleable item, like a piece of jewellery or furniture, that you would like to leave to JCounselling.

After you decide which type of gift you would like to leave, you need to give our official charity name, address and registered charity number to your professional advisor:

JCounselling Charity
23 Ravenshurst Ave, London NW4 4EE

Registered Charity No. 1078723

If you want to leave us a gift but have already made a Will, you can change it either by making a new Will (which will make all past Wills void) or by adding a Codicil to an existing Will. A Codicil is a document used to change a Will that has already been made. It can make simple additions or amendments to an existing Will. You can make a Codicil with a local solicitor or professional advisor.
